inIt’s my mom’s birthday this month! She is truly a beautiful person. Among many things, she’s a gardener and a nurse. She puts her family first and loves us so much. My heart overflows with love for her!
Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.

“Let’s get started!”
Are any of you fans? Rosanna Pansino of Nerdy Nummies on You Tube is my favorite!! She has a nerdy-themed cooking show which features many Lego desserts and a lot of other fun and really creative stuff.
(I know this isn’t a French bull dog but this little pug kinda of looks like her dog, Cookie.)

inHere’s a tribute to a sweet thing who’s been in our family for over 15 years. My brother’s family owns a chihuahua named Paco. I don’t know how much longer he will be around but so far he has had a long, happy life. He goes everywhere with my brother, his wife and their two children, going shopping, going on family vacations and he even goes with them to church every week! Paco has brought so much joy to my brother’s family and to mine. I love you, little Paco!

inHello to any of you still with us!
It’s been about 6 months since my family has moved to Oregon. There have been lots of changes and uncertainty in our lives. Change with moving to a new place is very stressful in addition to having 2 little ones to care for. Also a family members cancer has returned. We are in escrow and if all works out, we’ll be in our own home before Christmas. We also got a unexpected surprise as well, Peter and I are expecting another little Fan of Lego! Baby is coming this spring!
I’ve feel like I’ve lost my creative side and my desire for Lego. With pregnancy pain and just having almost no time for a daily shower because I’m so busy or sleep deprived, Lego has taken a back seat to everything else 😦 It is quite sad. I do have a couple ideas I’d still like to photograph for this site. Hopefully someday I’ll have some time for that and I hope to get inspired again to do more.
I know most of you AFOLS may have entered your dark ages when you were much younger than myself. What’s your Dark Age story? Or maybe you’ve never lost your love for Lego. I’d love to hear it. I have a new Lego Darth Vader flashlight key chain that I’ve had for a while but have no need for. I’ll give it to someone of my choosing….maybe randomly or whose story speaks to me the most. I’ll consider the comments made by Dec 12 and I’ll only send the items to a US mailing address (sorry to my international readers but this stay at home mom is on a budget).

Happy Valentines Day everyone!
I want to take you back a few years ago to my most memorable Valentines Day. Peter proposed to me at the park where we shared our first kiss 3 years earlier. I was surprised and ecstatic! I had to call everyone immediately to share the great news. The first people I called were my parents. My dad answered the phone and I screamed, “I’m engaged! I’m engaged!” My dad was not thrilled about this phone call. For some reason he thought I screamed, “I’m in jail! I’m in jail!” Ha ha ha ha ha!
It was a fantastic day. One of my best memories!
Life is so good with you, my sweetheart! I love you!

Happy Superbowl Sunday! What are you looking forward to? Baltimore winning? San Francisco winning? The food? The commercials?
I’m looking forward to hanging out with friends and family. Even though I don’t really watch the game, I always have a good time at these parties. I’m sad to see the season ending. I love seeing Peter so excited when football season approaches. For me, it means cooler weather and baking autumn desserts while I hear the game on in the background. It also means our favorite time of year, Christmas, is coming soon. I think tomorrow I’ll bake Peter a cake, he gets a little depressed when football season ends.

My little elves are helping me fill the advent calendar for Tiny S and Baby F.
Our advent calendar is a gingerbread house. We bought it last year but this is the first time we are using it. It’s cute but the compartments are a little too small for my liking. The largest compartment barely fits this minifig bag. Instead of buying a Lego advent calendar, I thought one I could fill on my own would better fit what I wanted to do for my kids. Some days will have toys, some days will have chocolate and some will have fun Christmas activities.
For those of you with small children, are you doing an advent calendar? What kind?
